Ardha Halasana – Benefits, Steps and Precautions
Ardha Halasana is good for improving the functions of abdominal organs. It stimulates abdominal organs very fast and cures constipation and indigestion. It also reduces belly fats and tones the thigh and hip muscles overall abdominal muscles. It cures stomach disorders and improves digestion, appetite, removes gases and is useful to cure arthritis and lumbar spondylitis.
How to Perform:
step 1: Lie down on the floor.
step 2: Join both legs, and keep your hands with thighs.
step 3: Slowly inhale and rise the leg to be perpendicular to the floor.
step 4: Hold in th breath and stay in this position for as long as you can.
step 5: Come back to normal position and relax for a while.
step 6: Repeat the same for 3-5 times.
Those suffering from severe heart problem, severe back pain or high blood pressure should not practice Ardha Halasana. Should practice under expert guidance. Women should not practice Ardha Halasana after the second month of pregnancy or should consult a doctor before practice.
